A three part short documentary film series following artist Milla Vaahtera and the process of creating the Atlas lamp for the new extension of the National Museum of Finland. In the first part we visit the legendary glass blowing village of Nuutajärvi, while the second part takes us to at Vaahtera’s metal workshop in Porvoo, where she works with tools inherited from her goldsmith parents. Finally in the the third part of the series, we get a sneak peek at the construction site of the new extension of the National Museum of Finland, a pavilion designed by JKMM Architects.
The series was designed for maximizing social media reach with 3 shorter parts, but it’s viewable here as one, longer video.
