Visual Communication Strategy, Artist Interviews, Art Direction & Execution
Nuoret 2026 exhibition / Kunsthalle Helsinki
Organised since 1939, the Young Artists (Nuoret) exhibition showcases recent works by artists under the age of 35. Over the decades, it has introduced numerous emerging artists and memorable works to the Finnish visual art scene. Nuoret 2026 brought together a new generation of artists exploring identity, belonging, norms, memory, hope and our relationship with the world around us.
At the time, Kunsthalle Helsinki had no established visual guidelines for video content or filming style. I developed a visual direction for the exhibition’s communications, drawing on the institution’s brand strategy and positioning:
“Kunsthalle Helsinki is cheeky, joyful, and warm.”
Translating these qualities into a visual storytelling approach, I developed content concepts designed to bring the artists, their ideas and their practices closer to audiences. From exhibition teasers and behind-the-scenes moments to artist portraits, the aim was to make contemporary art feel approachable and engaging.
My role spanned concept development, content planning, interviews, filming, photography and editing — from shaping the creative direction to producing the content.

Teasing the Exhibition
Above you see a short ad for social media and below short 15sec “making of” reels for teasing the upcoming exhibition, crucial in reaching audience online and in creating interest and anticipation already before the exhibition while the museum is closed for building.
Short Artist Docs
These two videos give a glimpse into the thinking and processes behind the art piece. Interviewing the artist about their work and using snippets of the interview as a VoiceOver to highlight what makes the piece extraordinary, what makes it interesting, makes it stand out.
Event Communication
The performance work Young Visual Artist by artist Iiri Poteri could be experienced in Kunsthalle Helsinki as well as on the streets of central Helsinki, all together 25 times during the exhibition, so it was essential to document. The short video was used to invite people to come view the performance and to interact with the character.
This piece gave a perfect opportunity to showcase the playful side of Kunsthalle Helsinki.
There were also several events that were part of the ongoing audience engagement of Kunsthalle Helsinki, for example guided tours. The exhibition partnered with Pride and arranged Queer Tours during Pride month.
Communicating About Partnerships
There were multiple sponsors & partners in making the exhibition possible, one of them Outshine (below), so it was crucial to find a creative way of communicating about them.
